Pakistan team captain, Babar Azam, has been signed by the Colombo Strikers for the upcoming fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL).

Azam was one of the players directly acquired before the auction, which is scheduled for June 11.

The upcoming fourth edition of the LPL is set to take place from July 31 to August 22.

Pakistan is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series before the LPL, which is part of the World Test Championship for next cycle.

The Men in Green are also expected to play a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in second week of August. Hence, the Pakistan captain is likely to be available partially for LPL.

The tournament will feature five teams and will be hosted at three venues, most likely Hambantota, Colombo, and Kandy.
